🗳️Vote, and encourage others to vote, for politicians and legislation that are inclusive toward the disabled community. Policies and legislation that cut government benefits inadvertently hurt the most vulnerable of us.

Now that you're part of the disability demographic, it's important to know your rights to access and accommodation. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) protects your rights regarding employment, public accommodations, state and local government services, voting, traveling and more.

Although our disability leaves us vulnerable to discrimination, we can be grateful for the efforts of disability rights activists who fought for our rights, and that our position gives us a platform to further that cause where it still fails us.  

Report and boycott businesses that are non-compliant with the ADA (inaccessible). File a complaint here:
 Write to your representatives about the importance of social safety nets that protect the quality of life of complete quadriplegics and other people with disabilities. Let them know if you feel you have been unfairly institutionalized because of insufficient home and community based services.
